An interactive solo exhibition of portable cities, soft technology, and memories of elsewhere
Where Light is Stored is a solo exhibition by interdisciplinary artist Cecilia Chuan Jiang, curated by Wenqi Zhang, presented by Which Witch Collective. Bringing together interactive city models, animation, painting, visual archives, and participatory elements, the exhibition explores how cities are remembered through women's experiences of migration, childhood, colour, sound, and the quiet details of everyday life.
The exhibition asks a simple question: When women move through many cities, what small things stay with them? A newsstand, a summer tree shadow, a coloured bead curtain, a lake, a supermarket, a street light, a sound. These fragments are not monuments, but they become the way a city is carried inside the body.
